Dungeons & Dragons with Ed Greenwood

Dungeons & Dragons with Ed Greenwood

On May 31st, 2025, we hosted our very first Dungeons and Dragons event! Our 7 brave local legends (Claire Holloway-Wadhwani, Jennifer Bogart, Matt McCreadie, Nathan Tedford, Oliver K, Ted Rouse, and TJ Collina) were sponsored by friends and family to join in the adventure, hosted by the legendary, Ed Greenwood, himself! We had a sold out show even before the event began, thanks to Ted Rouse’s (Embellish) hard work designing and hosting a website for online tickets, as well as a live stream of the event, thanks to one of our players, Matt McCreadie, and our volunteer, Caleb Carisse. Thanks to our sponsors, players, and viewers, we were able to raise $5000.00 for our Quest to provide dignity for all.

This event would not have been possible, or have been as magical without these sponsors: Embellish, Ed Greenwood, Jacqueline Pennington Re/max Hallmark, Racine Law Professional Corporation, Jim’s Pizza & Pasta Port Hope, Sprucewood Handmade Cookie Company, Furby House Books, Readers’ Nook, K9ine Security, Bonnie’s vinyl signs, and Dryad Artifacts. We are eternally grateful for everyone’s participation, and we look forward to more grand adventures in the future!

Thank you to our sponsors, Sharp’s Custom Exhaust & Automotive Repair, and Dr. Anna Tucka’s Dentistry, Garden Hill Farmers’ Market, and to our seaworthy volunteers, without whom, this event would not have been possible.

Keep your eyes on the horizon for our next movie day, as the year of the pirate continues.

2017 Kit Outreach Day
Yesterday was our Kit Outreach Day. Unfortunately over half of our volunteers had to opt out due to work, sickness etc. at the last minute. So it came down to myself, my sister Jules, and our dear friend Michelle.

We took with us:
– 20 kits
– over 100 pieces of food (gummies and bear paws)
– 12 pack case of small water
– 10 knapsacks/bags
– 1 sleeping bag
– 14 baseball hats
– 3 reusable water bottles/coffee cups.
– 10 tarps.
– 6 McDonald’s free drink coupons.

We did our usual square around Union Station and were able to find 4 people. One man was sitting on the corner of Front street already completely soaked from the rain. He chuckled when we offered him water, looking up at the sky. Despite the weather, he was incredibly grateful to take everything we offered him.
We headed up Spadina and were walking through Chinatown. We found a more

Today we went out on our first Kit Outreach Day of the year. We have been trying since February, but due to freezing temps and illness this was the first time a bunch of us were able to get out. We took 40 kits with us (18 gender neutral, 17 men, and 5 women kits), 23 baseball hats, a case of 24 pack water (generously donated by Michelle Eyman), 30 juice boxes (donated by Tyler Martyn), 25 knapsacks/tote bags, 12 tarps, 113 food items (granola bars, gummies, bear paws, etc.), 9 rain ponchos, and 5 milk bag mats and pillows generously donated by Michael’s Milk bags.

We had some people stop and stare at us and a few people even asked us what we were doing. While waiting for the train in Oshawa, a young girl (maybe 7 years old) came up to me more
